Wedge Wire Intake Screen

OKINAWA FILTERS designs and fabricates passive water intake systems for lake, river, and sea applications. Water intakes are cylindrical screens with either “T” or straight configuration that allow water to flow in while keeping most marine life and undesired debris from entering the system.

Intake screens may be fitted with an air backwash system and may be wall, floor, or buoy mounted in either a fixed or removable condition. Among optional features, anti-fouling devices are available. Most common materials of construction are 316L stainless steel for fresh water applications and nickel alloys for salt water applications.
